There is little to say about August as we only had 5 days of the month, and spent two of those curled up in bed with Gastroenteritus! We departed good old blighty, had a flying visit to Podgorica, Montenegro, and then raced down to Albania and settled for a few days in beautiful Shkoder, which started so well! The stomach bug struck us both on the 30th, and forced us to cancel the plans we'd made for threee days hiking in the Accursed Mountains (a prophetic name!) instead staying an extra night in Shkoder, as we literally did not leave our beds on the 31st. After a full day and two nights of rest, we were just about ready to face the next leg of our journey, a 3 hour bus journey to Tirana, as we entered September.
